Detail itinerary

Day 01: Arrive at Delhi.

Arrival at Delhi IGI  International airport, On arrival  traditional ‘Swagat’ (Welcome) our company representative would assist you at the airport & transfer to hotel for check-in.

Settled several times over millennia, this city has grown in a way that reflects its past, while retaining its cosmopolitan flavour. Delhi is India’s showcase, be it architecture, religion, shopping, culture – everything is available here – waiting to be discovered.

Day 02: Delhi Sightseeing.

After leisure breakfast at hotel, experience one of the oldest cities in the world. Delhi has its own history and the monuments are tablets on which that history is written. Full day sightseeing visiting Humayun’s Tomb, Qutub Minar, lotus temple and then travel through India Gate, The Parliament House and Presidents House.

Not to miss the Old Delhi which is known as “Shahjahanbad”. Visit imposing Red Fort, The Friday Mosque, Birla Templeand Chandni Chowck (The Moonlight Square).

Day 03: Delhi – Corbett (295 Kms./ 06 hrs drive approx).

Today  after leisure breakfast ,we will drive to Corbett National Park, named after the legendary hunter – naturalist, Corbett stretches over an area of 1300 sq km in the Himalayan foothills. Located in the foothills of the Himalayas is the majestic Corbett National Park. Home to a variety of flora & fauna, it is famous for its wild population of, Tigers Leopards & Elephants. Park was established in 1936, as the Hailey National Park. India’s 1st national park & the 1st sanctuary to come under Project Tiger, it supports a variety of vegetation making it the ideal habitat for the Tiger & its prey.
On arrival check in to the hotel and take rest. Later in the evening walk in the outskirts of the National Park watching bird & attend a briefing on the surrounding forest & wildlife

Day 04: Corbett Park.

Today morning before Breakfast we take a Jeep safari / canter safari along the periphery of the core area, this exciting drive through the unforgettable & breathtaking Khinanauli range to catch some best wildlife sights & Tigers in Park. After lunch optional walk in the forest with a naturalist. Before dinner a short video film on the flora & fauna of the area.

Day 05: Corbett – Dhikala.

Early morning drive to Dhikala by Canter (16 seater vehicle) & also visit Jim Corbett Museum at Dhangarhi where you will see the belonging & life history of Mr. Jim Corbett still intact at the museum.

Day 06: Corbett – Delhi (295 Kms./06 hrs. drive approx).

Early morning elephant safari – a totally different experience of the forest from elephant back. The wild animals by & large are not afraid of the elephants & the people sitting on the back are ignored allows to take a closer look at the wildlife. The elephants can also go through areas that the jeeps cannot go to thus increasing the chances of seeing wildlife.

After leisure breakfast check out resort  and drive to Delhi. On arrival check in to the hotel and take rest.

Day 07: Delhi – Agra (210kms./05 hrs. drive approx).

Today after leisure breakfast, we will drive to Agra, beautifully situated on the banks of river Yamuna. It achieved prominence as the capital of the Mughal Emperors from the year 1526 to 1628, remains major tourist destination because of its many splendid Mughal-era monuments, most notably the Taj Mahal, Agra Fort & Fatehpur Sikri, all three are UNESCO World Heritage sites.

 

Later we visit Taj Mahal, symbol of eternal love, which stands on the banks of River Yamuna. It was built by the 5th Mughal Emperor, Shah Jahan in the year 1631 in memory of his wife, Mumtaz Mahal. It was completed in 22 years. Further we visit Agra Fort, taken over from the Lodhis by the Mughal Emperor Akbar in the late 16th century. The Fort can be more accurately described as a walled palatial city. It was built from red sandstone, often inlaid with white marble & intricate decorations. We will also visit Sikandara, Akbar’s tomb. His son Jahangir completed the construction of the tomb in the year 1613.

Day 08: Agra – Japiur by surface ( 225Kms. /05 hrs. drive approx).

After leisure breakfast, you will drive to Jaipur, en route we will visit Fatehpur Sikri (Ghost Capital), the political capital of India’s Mughal Empire under Akbar’s reign, from the year 1571 until 1585, when it was abandoned, ostensibly due to lack of water. We visit Emperor Akbar’s Residential complex, Mosque & Tomb of Salim Chisti.

 

Continue drive to Jaipur, with its rich & colorful past, resplendent with tales of valour & bravery, it is now one of the most important heritage cities in India. The city was founded in the year 1728 by Maharaja Sawai Jai Singh II, the ruler of Amber. It remains the only city in the world symbolizing the nine divisions of the universe, through nine rectangular sectors.

Optional – Chokhi Dhani.

Apart from this you have another option. WE have planned an evening excursion to Chokhi Dhani complex, ethnic village Resort located at a distance of 15 km from Jaipur. Rajasthani village atmosphere is recreated on the sprawling ground & includes the entertainment by folk dancers & musicians. Later drive back to hotel.

Day 09: Jaipur.

Today after leisure breakfast , you will process day excursion to Amber Fort, the palace complex which stands to this date was commenced under the reign of Raja Man Singh. We take an Elephant ride to reach the Fort situated on the hill, an overwhelming experience.

Later we visit the City Palace, a perfect blend of Rajasthani & Mughal architecture. The center of the palace is a seven-storied building called Chandra Palace, with fine views over the gardens & the city. Further we visit Jantar Mantar (Solar Observatory), an astronomical treasure house, with solar devices that give accurate predictions till date. We also visit Hawa Mahal (Palace of Winds), a five-storied structure of pink sandstone. It was built in the year 1799 so that veiled royal women could peer down the busy street market unseen by the world through its 593 stone Jharokas (mini windows).

Day 10: Jaipur – Delhi and departure for home.

After leisure breakfast check out the hotel and drive to Delhi. On arrival direct transfer to IGI airport for onward journey with pleasant experience.
