Char Dham are the names of four pilgrimage sites in India that are widely revered by Hindus. It comprises Badrinath, Dwarka, Puri and Rameswaram. It is considered highly sacred to visit Char Dham during one’s lifetime. The other pilgrimages sites in the Indian state of Uttarakhand viz. Yamunotri, Gangotri, Kedarnath, and Badrinath were known as Chota Char Dham to differentiate them from the bigger circuit of Char Dham sites.

Detail itinerary

Day 01: Delhi – Haridwar (230 Kms/6Hrs drive approx ).

Arrive IGI Delhi by international flight, after a traditional ‘Swagat’ (Welcome) our representative would assist you at the airport & direct drive to Haridwar.It’s gateway to Char Dham pilgrimage tourism.On arrival check into to the hotel and take rest, Evening time visit Har-ki-Pauri for Ganga Aarti. Later return to hotel and take rest.

Day 02: Haridwar – Barkot (220kms/7Hrs drive approx ).

After leisure breakfast,drive to Barkot via Dehradun & Mussoorie. Enroute visit Kempty Fall and some other sites.Later drive straight to your Hotel .

Day 03: Barkot – Yamunotri – Barkot. (32 Kms. Drive +10 kms Local Taxi drive+ 6 Kms. Trek, one way)

After leisure breakfast, drive to Hanuman Chatti at 7 AM, from here you have to take local jeeps for Janki chatti (It helps to reduce the trek upto 8 kms),

yamunotri-dhamTour to Hanuman Chatti, and then take a local jeep ride to Janki Chatti. This is the point where you start hiking from the trek to Yamunotri. You must be healthy hike mountain trails of 6 kms. If he could not walk you can hire horses or palanquins.

Yamunotri Dham: Yamunotri is one of the four Hindu pilgrimage dhams of Char Dham, and the first stop on the itinerary of Char Dham. Origin of the Yamuna river. It is famous for its glaciers and natural springs.Yamunotri temple has a shrine dedicated to the goddess.

Temple of Yamunotri is located on the left bank of river Yamuna and built by Maharaja Pratap Shah of Tehri Garhwal. On arrival at Yamunotri have a holy dip in the natural spring and then offer puja at the temple of Yamunotri. The deity is Yamuna Devi. After darshan, drive back to Janki Chatti, then take the jeep ride to the Barkot.

Day 04: Barkot – Uttarkashi (100kms/4hrs drive approx).

After leisure breakfast, Early morning Drive to Uttarkashi via Barkot. On the way visit the Cave Prakateshwar. On arrival Uttarkashi camp you may visit Vishwnath temple in afternoon. After dinner, stay overnight in the camp of Uttarkashi.

Overnight stay at Camp or lodge Uttarkashi.



Day 05: Uttarkashi – Gangotri – Uttarkashi (100kms/3hr Each Side)

Early morning time we proceed to Gangotri (3048 mts).Gangotri Dham On the route, 5 Char Dham Tour to move towards Gangotri, the origin of the Ganges.

Gangotri Dham: Gangotri is situated 99 km from Uttarkashi. The shrine dedicated to Goddess Ganga. This temple was built by Amar Bahadur Thapa, the Gorkha Commander. The river’s source is Gangotri glacier located at Gaumukh. The pilgrims trek to the Ganges River to explore the origin of the river to offer prayers to Ganga Maya. According to myth, Ganga is the eternal penance Bhagirath gift. On arrival at Gangotri take a holy dip in the river Ganges and offer prayers to the shrine of Gangotri.  Return to camp and spend the night.

Overnight stay at Camp or lodge Uttarkashi.


Day 06: Uttarkashi – Rudraprayag (175kms/6Hrs. drive approx).

Early morning, to  Rudraprayag. Overnight stay at Rudraprayag Hotel

Travel Guptkashi. En route to explore the heritage of the town of Tehri. After lunch, continue your drive and on arrival take the camp. Overnight.


Day 07: Rudraprayag – Kedarnath (125kms By Road & 14kms Trek).

Early Morning, drive to Gaurikund and then start Trek from Gaurikund to Kedarnath (3584 mts) on foot or by pony / Doli. Tour members should carry personal medicines, toiletries and clothes for an overnight stay at Kedarnath. On arrival check in at the hotel and proceed to visit Kedarnath Temple.

Day 08: Kedarnath – Pipalkoti (14kms Down Trek & 125kms/4hrs By Road).

Early morning proceed to temple Darshan trek down to Gaurikund. Check out the hotel and drive to Pipalkoti via Chopta. On arrival Check in at the hotel at Pipalkoti.

Overnight stay at Pipalkothi.


Day 09: Pipalkoti – Badrinath (85Kms/07Hrs drive approx).

After breakfast drive to Badrinath via Joshimath, Check in at the hotel. Later in evening visit Badrinath Temple for Aarti. There are other interesting sightseeing spot like Mana,Vyas Gufa, Maatamoorti, Charanpaduka, Bhimkund and the “Mukh” of the Saraswati River. Just within the three kms of Badrinathjee.

Overnight stay at Badrinath hotel.


Day 10: Badrinath – Joshimath (44kms/3hrs drive approx)

Early morning pilgrim tour after having a bath in the Taptkund have the Darshan of Badrivishal). Later visit Mana village just within the three kms of Badrinath and drive back to Joshimath Check in Hotel. Overnight stay at joshimath.


Day 11: Joshimath – Rishikesh (255Kms/8-9hrs drive approx).

Early morning, visit Narsingh Temple & Shankracharaya Math. Later, Drive back to Rishikesh. Check in at the hotel. Evening free for leisure.

Day 12: Rishikesh – Hardwar – Delhi (250kms/7-8hrs drive approx).

After breakfast check out the hotel and drive back to Delhi. On Arr. Delhi, transfer to Railway Station / Airport. Tour Terminate
