Detail itinerary

Day 01:  Arrive at Mumbai.

Arrive at Mumbai by international flight, after a traditional ‘Swagat’ (Welcome) our representative would assist you at the airport & transfer to hotel for check-in.

Mumbai, an archipelago of seven islands. Artifacts found that these islands had been inhabited since the Stone Age & documented evidence of human habitation dates back to 250 BC. In the 3rd century BC, the islands formed part of the Maurya Empire. In 1534, Portuguese appropriated islands from king of Gujarat later ceded to Charles II of England in 1661, as dowry for Catherine de Braganza. These islands were in turn leased to the British East India Company in 1668.

Day 02 : Mumbai  Full day Tour.

First we visit Gateway of India- It was built to commemorate the visit of King George V in 1911 Later enjoy an hour’s boat ride to the tranquil forested island of Elephanta, one of the most atmospheric places in Bombay. The chief attraction of the island is its unique cave temple whose Shiva sculpture is a fine example of Hindu architecture. In the afternoon visit Jehangir Art Gallery and the Prince of Wales Museum, Victoria Terminus, Hanging Gardens, Jain Temple and Mani Bhavan – Gandhi’s Bombay base between 1917 & 1934, now a permanent memorial to the Mahatma.

Day 03 : Mumbai – Bangalore. ( By flight )

After leisure break check out the hotel and drive to airport and take flight for Bangalore. On arrival meeting & assistance at airport and drive to hotel . On arrival check into the hotel and take rest .

Evening time you will explore Lalbagh .

Day 04: Bangalore – Mysore  ( 150 Kms. /04 hrs. drive approx ).

After leisure breakfast you will drive to Mysore, once the capital of the Wodeyar kingdom, famous for its silks and sandalwood, it is a city of fine gardens, tree-lined boulevards, art galleries and an intriguing palace. Mysore’s ten day Dusshera festival in September/October is still celebrated with medieval pageantry.

Day 05: Mysore.

After leisure breakfast you will Visit the Maharaja’s palace built in the Hindu and the Saracenic styles of architecture with archways, domes, turrets, colonnades and sculptures, which are truly magnificent. Drive up to the Chamundi hill to see the Chamundeshwari temple with panoramic view of Mysore.

Day 06: Mysore – Coorg ( 120 Kms. /03 hrs. drive approx ).

After leisure breakfast you will drive to Coorg or Kodagu district, one of the few areas in South India to have retained its original forests. The forests are still home to wild elephants and other wildlife and also give the area a pleasant climate. The picturesque hills are covered by spice plantations and coffee estates. Madikeri, the capital, is an attractive small town in a beautiful hilly setting surrounded by the forested slopes of the Western Ghats.

Day 07 : Coorg.

After leisure breakfast you will Visit the Dubare Elephant Camp across the river Cauvery to participate in bathing and feeding the elephants. A specialist will guide you about the elephant behavior. Or take a guided tour of the 300 acre working coffee and spice plantation on foot. Learn firsthand the difference between an Arabica and Robusta, discover how the Malabar blend got ‘monsooned’, and explore the spice scented pathways of Orange County to slip into the spirit of the land.

Day 08: Coorg – Bekal . ( 128 Kms. /03 hrs. drive approx).

After leisure breakfast check out the hotel and drive to Bekal . On arrival check in to hotel and take rest . Balance day free for leisure.
